Ashland Loop

The Ashland Loop is a challenging but rewarding ride to Ashland and back.  Start at Topsy Reservoir just west of Keno.   The first leg is a very mellow yet very long false flat climb up Keno Access Road.  Next up is Howard Prairie Lake at miles 24-29.  The fun begins at mile 34 with a 9-mile descent on Dead Indian Memorial Road to the Ashland foothills.   What goes down must come up though, so the payback is a 9-mile climb back up Hwy 66 on a 6% grade.   You are rewarded with a beautiful rest stop at either the Green Springs Inn at mile 64 or Tubs Springs State Park at mile 66.
