Welcome to Crater Lake’s Vehicle-Free Days, where motorized traffic is excluded from 25 miles on East Rim Drive. This is a unique opportunity to explore the Park by foot or by bicycle. Vehicle parking will be at two locations: (a) North Junctions, and, (b) Park Headquarters/Steel Visitor’s Center. This is where you will enter the vehicle-free sections of the Park. There will be five rest areas as shown on the map.
The hours of operation for the Rest Areas will be 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. There will be a shuttle service between North Junction and the Park Headquarters. Park Entrance Fees will apply, although there is no event cost.
Event Hours: Road Closes to vehicles (except service vehicles) at 8:00 am. Vehicles will be allowed back on East Rim Drive at 6:00 pm. For detailed event information, check with personnel at the Information tables at either North Junction or Park Headquarters.
The event is FREE, we just ask you to sign-up in advance so we know you are coming. Online registrants will receive a commemorative lapel pin for signing up in advance and letting us now where you’re from and what activity(s) you’ll be participating in.
